A\u00a0UFPR\u00a0adota desde 2004 em seu\u00a0vestibular\u00a0um\u00a0sistema de cotas pr\u00f3prio que reserva 20% das vagas de cada curso para estudantes oriundos de escolas p\u00fablicas\u00a0e 20% para alunos\u00a0negros\u00a0e\u00a0pardos.\u00a0\u00a0Em 2013 passou a adotar, concomitantemente, o sistema de cotas institu\u00eddo pelo governo federal, de modo que cerca de metade das vagas atuais s\u00e3o destinadas os dois grupos j\u00e1 citados<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"CENTER\"><span style=\"color: #0000cc;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Viner Hand ITC', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>A\u00a0UFPR\u00a0\u00e9 conhecida por ter um dos mais dif\u00edceis e exigentes processos seletivos dentre as universidades federais. A 1\u00aa fase \u00e9 composta de 80 quest\u00f5es de conhecimento geral (Matem\u00e1tica,\u00a0F\u00edsica,\u00a0Qu\u00edmica,\u00a0Biologia,\u00a0Hist\u00f3ria,\u00a0Portugu\u00eas,\u00a0Geografia\u00a0e L\u00edngua Estrangeira Moderna). A 2\u00aa Fase \u00e9 dividida em duas etapas:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"CENTER\"><span style=\"color: #0000cc;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Viner Hand ITC', serif;\"><span
