Foi criada atrav\u00e9s da Lei Estadual n\u00b0 13.283 de 25 de outubro de 2001. Por for\u00e7a do Decreto Estadual de 5 de dezembro de 2013, tamb\u00e9m foi incorporada \u00e0 Unespar a Escola Superior de Seguran\u00e7a P\u00fablica da Academia Policial Militar de Gatup\u00ea.
