Esse Programa subdivide-se em 03 Etapas. O candidato ao PAES se inscreve, voluntariamente, a partir da 1\u00aa s\u00e9rie do Ensino M\u00e9dio. Na 3\u00aa e \u00faltima Etapa, o candidato escolhe o curso a que pretende concorrer.
