Ele percebeu que o volume V de \u00e1gua necess\u00e1rio para uma lavagem depende da massa m das roupas a serem lavadas, do intervalo de tempo \u2206t que esta m\u00e1quina leva para encher de \u00e1gua e da press\u00e3o P da \u00e1gua na tubula\u00e7\u00e3o que alimenta esta m\u00e1quina de lavar. A ag\u00eancia espacial americana admitiu que a prov\u00e1vel causa da perda de uma sonda enviada a Marte estaria relacionada com um problema de convers\u00e3o de unidades. Foi fornecido ao sistema de navega\u00e7\u00e3o da sonda o raio de sua \u00f3rbita em METROS, quando, na verdade, este valor deveria estar em P\u00c9S. Ao encontrar regi\u00f5es mais frias na atmosfera, o vapor se condensa, formando pequenas got\u00edculas de \u00e1gua que comp\u00f5em, ent\u00e3o, as nuvens, podendo, em parte, solidificar-se em diferentes tamanhos. Os ventos fortes facilitam o transporte do<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>ar pr\u00f3ximo ao ch\u00e3o &#8211; a temperatura, em dias de ver\u00e3o, chega quase a 40\u00b0 &#8211; para o topo das nuvens, quando a temperatura alcan\u00e7a 70\u00b0C. H\u00e1 um consenso, entre pesquisadores, de que, devido \u00e0 colis\u00e3o entre part\u00edculas de gelo, \u00e1gua e granizo, ocorre a eletriza\u00e7\u00e3o da nuvem, sendo poss\u00edvel observar a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de dois centros: um de cargas positivas e outro de cargas negativas. Quando a concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de cargas nesses centros cresce muito, acontecem, ent\u00e3o, descargas entre regi\u00f5es com cargas el\u00e9tricas opostas. Essas descargas el\u00e9tricas &#8211; raios &#8211; podem durar at\u00e9 2s, e sua voltagem encontra-se entre 100 milh\u00f5es e 1 bilh\u00e3o de volts, sendo a corrente da ordem de 30 mil amperes, podendo chegar a 300 mil amperes e a 30.000\u00b0C de temperatura. A luz produzida pelo raio chega quase instantaneamente, enquanto que o som, considerada sua velocidade de 300 m\/s, chega num tempo 1 milh\u00e3o de vezes maior.
