To enter the Undergraduate Medicine course at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo, it is necessary to take the Entrance Exam organized by the Foundation for the Entrance Exam of the São Paulo State University (Vunesp).
120 places are offered annually.
Located in the Hospital Complex of the Irmandade da Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Paulo, the School of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo is ranked among the best Higher Education Institutions in Medicine in the country, according to an assessment conducted by the Ministry of Education (Enade) in 2013. Its contribution to the development of the health sector is evidenced by the numerous scientific research projects, both in the basic and clinical areas, with approximately 40 research groups registered with the Ministry of Science and Technology. Students and faculty develop recognized technical and scientific research activities in several institutions, such as the Central Hospital, the São Luís Gonzaga Hospital, the Integrated Mental Health Care Center, the Barra Funda Health Center-School and the Dom Pedro II Geriatric Hospital.
